Course Content

Lessons are tailored to meet specific goals of individual learners. Sheet music will be provided on a lesson-to-lesson basis by instructor. Instructor will advise students to make textbook/guidebook purchases should it be necessary.

DRUM  Lessons   for Preschoolers

Our drum lessons for preschooolers aim to introduce musical activities to very young children in a light-hearted and engaging manner. The goal of the programme is to cultivate a child's interest in rhythm and song, specifically through exploration of the drum set. The course aids in the development of a child’s motor and aural skills while enabling them to learn through play. 

 

In all, this course is suited for any young fellow who is drawn to the drums and wants to have fun through experiencing music. 

 

Students will learn:

• hands and right foot coordination 

• drum stick control (for playing the snare drum)

• foot control (for playing the bass drum) 

• basic rock and percussive beats 

• simple music theory - introduction to crotchet, quaver, triplets and semiquaver

• to play different parts of the drumset

• to play along to music 

• to play along to metronome 

• various percussion instruments (tambourine, shakers, cowbell, agogo bells, etc.)

DRUM  Lessons  for kids & teenagers

​

Is your child increasingly expressing his or her interest in rhythm and popular music to you? It is probably time for him or her to explore some serious music learning through our drum lesson for juniors! Our drum lessons for children and teenagers are light-hearted and make a rewarding musical learning experience. Students will be able to immerse themselves in their favourite tunes while pursuing a formal music education in the rhythm department.

Students will learn:

• Mastery of basic rudiments (single, double strokes, paradiddles, flams, etc.)

• Stick control, hand-foot coordination techniques

• Comprehending fundamental music theory and concepts

• Exposure to various genres of music

  (Pop, Rock, Ballad, Blues, Hip-hop, Swing, Reggae, Dance, Funk, etc.)

• Improvisation and drum fills

• Graded examination syllabus (optional) - Trinity Rock & Pop / Rockschool

Flexi-DRUM  Lessons  for adults

 

Our drum lessons for adults are tailored to suit the hectic work schedules of matured learners. This programme enables students to schedule lessons at their convenience and to learn at their own pace. While graded certifications are recommended for highly motivated individuals, this course is otherwise suited for adults in search of a musical hobby or leisure activity.

Students will learn:

• hands and right foot coordination 

• drum stick and foot pedal control

• basic rock and percussive rhythms

• simple music theory

• to play different parts of the drum kit

• to play along to music backing track

• to play along to metronome 

• to play along to popular songs in various language mediums

• different genres of music (pop, rock, ballad, blues, swing, reggae, dance, etc.)

Students will learn:
